"The Hastily Assembled Angel Falls at the Beginning of the World"
As part of my 2019 color abstraction work, I spent a lot of time at the Pacific coast in San Francisco. 2019 was also the year that I started reading contemporary poets.
"The Hastily Assembled Angel Falls at the Beginning of the World", a poem by Shane McCrae, inspires this work, which explores abstractions in the Pacific shoreline of San Francisco through digitally manipulated photographs. This series is still developing, with new work appearing and sequencing changing with the images selected.
